Each Beetle & Bolt piece is handcrafted, and many are made specifically for the customer. These policies explain how orders, payments, cancellations, delivery, and product variations are handled.
Submitting an inquiry does not confirm an order.
After discussing your request, we will provide a written quote outlining the piece, size, price, estimated completion date, and available pickup, delivery, or shipping arrangements.
Your order is confirmed once:
You approve the quote and order details
Any required deposit has been received
Beetle & Bolt confirms your order in writing
Please review all details carefully before approving your order.
Prices are listed in Canadian dollars.
Custom wreath pricing is based on size. Original artwork, Beasts & Blades creations, and other custom pieces are priced individually based on the agreed design, size, and materials.
Any applicable delivery, shipping, or other charges will be confirmed before your order is finalized.
A deposit of 50% may be required to confirm custom orders and reserve time in our production schedule.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
The remaining balance is due before pickup, delivery, or shipping
Work will not begin until the required deposit has been received
An order is not confirmed until payment arrangements have been accepted
Customers will receive written confirmation of the amount paid and any remaining balance.
Please request changes as early as possible.
Changes are subject to material availability and the stage of production. A revised price or completion date may apply if a requested change requires additional materials or work.
Once production has begun, some changes may not be possible.
Please contact Beetle & Bolt promptly if you need to cancel an order.
For custom or made-to-order pieces:
A cancellation made before materials have been purchased or production has begun may be eligible for a full or partial refund
Once materials have been purchased or production has begun, the deposit may be retained to cover materials and work already completed
Completed custom pieces are final sale unless they arrive damaged or do not reasonably match the approved order details
Any refund or cancellation rights required under applicable consumer-protection law will continue to apply. In British Columbia, businesses can establish their own return and refund policies, but those policies must be communicated before purchase and cannot override rights provided by law.
Each Beetle & Bolt piece is individually handcrafted. Natural and reclaimed materials may vary in:
Colour
Shape
Texture
Grain
Markings
Botanical composition
Seasonal and locally sourced materials may also change based on availability.
These variations are part of the character of handcrafted work and mean that no two pieces will be exactly alike. Reference photographs provide an indication of style rather than a guarantee of an identical result.
We will provide an estimated completion date when confirming your order.
As each piece is handmade, timing may be affected by material availability, drying time, design adjustments, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will contact you if a significant delay is expected.
For orders entered into remotely, the written confirmation should clearly identify the expected supply or delivery date. BC law provides customers with cancellation rights in some circumstances when goods are not supplied within the required period.
Local pickup is available by arrangement in Victoria, BC.
Local delivery may be available within Beetle & Bolt’s service area. Any delivery charge and estimated timing will be confirmed before the order is finalized.
Seasonal Wreath Collection delivery and exchanges are available only within the designated local service area.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact and delivery information and ensuring that someone can safely receive the piece when required.
Shipping may be available for selected pieces depending on their size, materials, fragility, and destination.
Before confirming a shipped order, Beetle & Bolt will provide:
The estimated shipping cost
The delivery method
The estimated delivery timeframe
Any special packaging or handling charges
Customers should inspect shipped items promptly after delivery and retain the packaging if damage has occurred.
Please contact Beetle & Bolt within 48 hours of receiving the piece if it:
Arrives damaged
Is materially different from the approved order
Is missing an agreed component
Include photographs of the piece and, for shipped orders, the packaging. We will review the issue and determine an appropriate repair, replacement, or refund.
Normal variations in natural materials and minor differences associated with handcrafted production are not considered defects.
Natural botanicals and other organic materials will change over time.
The appearance and longevity of a piece may be affected by sunlight, moisture, heat, wind, handling, and placement. Any care guidance provided with the piece should be followed.
Beetle & Bolt cannot guarantee the lifespan of natural materials when a piece is exposed to unsuitable conditions.
